Dalgona 달구나 Inspired Wax Melts
A crunchy golden honeycomb fragrance with notes of caramelised sugar, toffee, vanilla and honey, with a hint of sweet cinnamon.
Shapes are random.
These wax melts are of course inspired by the candy that many koreans grew up buying or making at home. The candy it's self was called "Dalgona" which is a sweet honeycomb like shaped "biscuit" however is simply made from burning sugar and very good patience.
The shapes on Dalgona - 달구나 would then be inprinted, and used to create a game called Ppopgi - 뽑기 (or Ppogki depending on origin). Recently, the game was made very popular by a current tv series. The game entiails using a toothpik or sewing needle to cut the shape out perfectly. In the tv series if you didn't cut it out perfect, there were deathly consequences!
What shape would you choose if playing Ppolgi? Would you be able to etch the shape out perfectly?
These wax melts are not edible. Please do not try and lick the sides as seen in the game. Please keep away from children.
